This, together with CABE's work in England is ensuring that a new attitude is afoot and that the skills to implement it will be there too. I hope that this results in the implementation of a number of exemplar schemes where the benefits of this approach to streets are obvious and inarguable - before all this goes out of fashion and is replaced by traditional roads engineering Slowly but surely the components of making better environments are being assembled.
